A great showpiece by Elias Parish Alvars (1808-1849) named by Berlioz “The Liszt of the Harp”. The piece was composed after Parish Alvars’ meeting with Mendelssohn and is surely influenced by the style of this master as well as Reveries Op. 82 and the Harp Concerto Op. 81.
